Chris McCausland
Chris McCausland is a stand-up comedian and regular face on British television, making guest appearances on several flagship comedy shows and hosting his own travel show, Wonders of the World I Can’t See.
Born 15 June 1977, Chris is blind due to retinitis pigmentosa (a genetic condition that has affected both his mother and grandmother; he had complete loss of sight by the age of 22.)
Chris’s story is all the more remarkable for the fact that he had to overcome a potentially-debilitating condition – he grew up with a Liverpool accent and is a suppporter of Liverpool FC – to achieve his success.
He is known to television audiences for
his role as Rudi in the CBeebies show Me Too!
four-part travelogue series, The Wonders of the World I Can't See.
In December 2024, McCausland won series 22 of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, with professional dancer Dianne Buswell

He won a BAFTA award in 2025, and published his autobiography, Keep Laughing, in October 2025
