Clans and Clan Societies all want to share our history, heritage, research and ancestral sites. 

All Clans face the same challenge of creating relevance in Scotland and attracting newer, younger members to our respective societies. 

As a single Clan we might be dismissed or overwhelmed; but as a collective, Scots have always been formidable.

So, we are seeking interest in creating an App to deliver our lore, legacies, stories and history in Scotland, from a Clan perspective. 

The App will use Geo-Synced and GPS-triggered technology to provide dynamic information to users:

• Sites aligned to walking trails, hiking tracks and driving tours 

• Audio descriptions (no touching a phone while you’re driving or looking at sites)

• Site history, with links to downloads and further reading details

• Pictures, including opportunities for overlays and artist impressions

• Links to Clan AND hooks to encourage membership to your Clan Societies

• Opportunities for local business participation and remuneration, including sponsorship opportunities 

• Filterable content and interest packages
  (history vs family activities, for instance)

This will be more than just an App, it’s a chance for Clans to collaborate and drive people to our spiritual sites, and aid in the conversion of people to consider becoming members of our respective Clans and Societies!

But we require your involvement to make the enterprise self-sustaining and eventually profitable.

We ask that we put aside generational Clan grudges (until it becomes entertaining and advantageous for us to share them) and come on-board to become a founding member of this initiative.
