The Saskatchewan Highland Gathering & Celtic Festival incorporates older Highland Games events in Regina and Moose Jaw that have been running since the early 20th century! We promote Scottish and Celtic and provide an excellent opportunity for local and neighbouring community members to get involved, showcase their talents, and promote their wares. Pipers, drummers, dancers, heavy events athletes, and enthusiasts from Western Canada come to southern Saskatchewan each year on the long weekend of May to participate in this exciting lineup of events.

Each year, we collaborate with the Regina Hotels Association and other sponsors to make the weekend bigger and more spectacular than ever, with more events, more for everyone to do, and more great reasons to stay in Regina while taking in the weekend events!

In genuine Scottish hospitality, the Gathering provides a friendly environment for members of the public to come and watch the various events taking place, including the piping and drumming, highland dancing, heavy events, and the very popular festival tent.  After watching your favourite event, stroll through our Celtic market and pick up something uniquely Scottish like a clan badge,  sporran, sgian dubh or even a kilt! Food and refreshments are available all weekend, and you’ll have a fabulous day at the Games!

Bring the whole family! On a sunny day, nothing beats relaxing in a lawn chair or lying on a blanket, listening to the sounds of Scotland!

The Tent:

The tent will be located adjacent to all-day entertainment in pipe bands, athletics, and we will have a music stage with live music throughout the day!
